The following are the mathematical practices that appear on our Cyberschool Report Card each quarter along with student friendly "I Can" statements.
QUARTER 1 STANDARDS
The following are student friendly "I can" statements that are related to the math content standards as they appear on our 4th grade report card for Quarter 1.
QUARTER 2 STANDARDS
The following are student friendly "I can" statements that are related to the math content standards as they appear on our 4th grade report card for Quarter 2.

QUARTER 4 STANDARDS
The following are student friendly "I can" statements that are related to the math content standards as they appear on our 4th grade report card for Quarter 4.
The following are the mathematical practices that appear on our Cyberschool Report Card each quarter along with student friendly "I Can" statements.
- I can make sense of a problem and creates a plan to solve it - I can make a plan, called a strategy, to solve the problem and discuss other students' strategies too.
- Perseveres in solving problems - I can try many times to understand and solve a math problem.
- Attends to detail using precise math words/symbols and works carefully and accurately - I can check to see if my strategies and calculations are correct.
- Explains mathematical thinking orally and in written form to justify why the answer makes sense - I can explain my thinking verbally or in writing.
QUARTER 1 STANDARDS
The following are student friendly "I can" statements that are related to the math content standards as they appear on our 4th grade report card for Quarter 1.
- I can add multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
- I can subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the "Trade First"/standard algorithm.
- I can identify, name, draw, describe, and classify 2D figures and polygons.
QUARTER 2 STANDARDS
The following are student friendly "I can" statements that are related to the math content standards as they appear on our 4th grade report card for Quarter 2.
- I can understand factors, multiples, prime and composite numbers.
- I can read, write, compare and round numbers within 1,000,000.
- I can represent and solve multi-digit multiplication problems.
- I can solve problems involving elapsed time.
- I can draw/measure line segments to the nearest 1/8th inch or millimeter.
The following are student friendly "I can" statements that are related to the math content standards as they appear on our 4th grade report card for Quarter 3.
- I can represent and solve division problems and interpret their remainders.
- I can order, and compare fractions, and build fractions from unit fractions.
- I can add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers with like denominators.
- I can multiply a whole number by a fraction.
- I can find the perimeter and area of rectangles.
- I can represent and interpret data, including data with fractional measurements.
- I can apply concepts of angles to measure, draw, and solve problems.
QUARTER 4 STANDARDS
The following are student friendly "I can" statements that are related to the math content standards as they appear on our 4th grade report card for Quarter 4.
- I can understand decimal notation for fractions.
- I can read, write, represent, and compare decimals.
- I can make reasonable estimates for measurements.
- I can find equivalent measurement conversions.
- I can understand symmetry.
